Holy cannoli ! It’s the official launch of my book and I can’t thank Modern Chic Magazine and Jennifer R. Luna enough for their support for me and my book We love supporting amazing Girlbosses, so we are launching a whole new series called GirlBoss Featured, which highlights some incredible, inspiring gals who are just killing the game. And what better way to open up the series than with with our friend, contributor and now author, […]
I’m back again with the guys over at Talk Thirty To Me giving you a female’s perspective on how to date multiple people. Give it a read and then get out there (and have fun!) 💃🏻 Along with all of the positive feedback on my last article Dating in Your 30s: Why You Should Date “More Than One” to Find “The One”, I also got the repeat question: So how do you find the time […]
New read by me over at Modern Chic Magazine … Bye, bye bad boys 👋 Now ladies, most of us have been there, and if not personally than we know a friend who has fallen for that bad boy in the past (or even recently). And despite knowing they’re poison, we still drink them up like a fine wine. Time and time again, we are in a mental battle that roughly goes like this: I want you. […]
Self-help Sunday from me and the good people over at Thought Catalog. My latest article here on why self acceptance is a bitch (and so are you). It’s all over your therapist’s mouth. It’s all over the internet and Barnes and Noble. Even Justin Bieber wants you to do it. Self-acceptance is the new kale, and although it’s just as good for you, it’s really uncomfortable. The books and TEDTalks preach mindfulness and compassion, but […]
An article I wrote for the guys over at Talk Thirty To Me on the benefits – no wait, NECESSITY – of casual dating in your 30s. Have a read and definitely a listen to Turg and RandyZ talk love, life, and nipple stickers ( * )( * ) It’s widely known that millennials and generations younger are getting married later. The reasons have been speculated all over the internet – abundance of options, focus […]
Super late in posting this article for Modern Chic Mag that I wrote back in January. Hope you all will enjoy and continue to love honestly. Don’t Play Hard to Get, Play Honest As someone who’s followed my heart, worn it on my sleeve, and had it broken many times, I get a lot of dating advice. In fact, it’s pervasive, especially since I’m “still single.” Though well-intentioned, I can’t help but feel ashamed for […]
So much gratitude to Thought Catalog Books for including my essay and acknowledging that yes, depression is real, despite what I’ve been told. It’s not “all in my head” or because I “don’t have enough real problems” and won’t be solved by “eating more meat.” Books and writers like these have meant more than you know. Without acknowledgment, there is no healing. And some days that’s all you’re capable of. Buy on Amazon and iBooks.
I know you guys on here are mainly poetry fans, but I’d like to take a moment to share a really great site and cause called Project Girl Crush. They feature talented women, revealing the “flawless and the flawed” in them and all of us. The site does contain poetry, artwork, and I published a blog post last week to kick off their “Body” theme for November.
